And now for........ the new Piso/Apartment

It is finally time for me to share with everyone my temporary Spanish home. As most of you know, this year I've decided to live on my own partly because it is cheaper and partly to just do things on my own. Anyway, I have found a place to live after a week of searching and an unlucky and unfortunate encounter with some not so nice people. Now, I´m living with my friend Emily (the one I traveled with everywhere when I studied in Santander) and her friend Jeri. We are renting from a very sweet woman who is incredibly helpful and kind.

The piso is really nice and small, but perfect for us. Each bedroom is painted a different color (mine is blue) and all rooms (including kitchen and living room) are completely furnished and stocked. The only thing the girls and I had to purchase was bedding and groceries. Not too bad, right? Even better, I live a 30 second walk from the family I lived with last year.....so moving was quite easy even though we had a lot of luggage with us. :)

Here are the pictures of my piso. When possible, I´ll try to put some better ones on here. I hope you all will enjoy!!!!
This is our apartment building. Count 5 levels going up and that´s our piso.Jeri and Emily in our apartment elevator with the bedding.
Emily´s room....the yellow room.
The entrance to our piso...it no longer has the table by the door or the small mess you see on the chest of drawers.
This is our full bathroom with shower. You can´t see all of it, but for Spain it is a good size.
View of Plaza Caño Argales from my side of the balcony.

This is the balcony. It is not very wide, but we can fit chairs out here.
This is the view of my room from my door. The window opens up onto the balcony. (I haven´t fully unpacked here). The view of my room from the window.

The left side of our living room, with two couches.
The right side of the living room with a table and an entertainment system.
This is the right side of the kitchen with a washing machine.
The left side of the kitchen with an electric stove and fridge.
This is Jeri´s room, also known as the green room.
This is the hallway that connects all of the rooms together.

Here is the half bathroom which is where we store our cleaning supplies as well.
This is Calle Panaderos where Julio & Edita live. If you look closely past the green dumpster you can see me in a white shirt and Emily next to me. This picture is taken from Julio & Edita´s piso and where I´m standing is at my piso´s door. This shows you how close we really are!
A view of Calle Panaderos from our balcony.
Jeri took this picture of me from the balcony looking into my room. This is before we moved everything into the apartment.

I hope you liked the pictures!!! Love to all!

Celeste, thanks for all the photos of your piso and surroundings in Valladolid. It's almost like seeing it in person! Love, Grandma

Celeste! What a nice place you have! Thank you for sharing. You are my inspiration for Germany, you know. I keep thinking, "If Celeste can do it, so can I!" And your room is very nice. I like the big windows!
